Born and raised in Austria, Kirsten grew up as a missionary kid. Just recently she and her parents have completed writing a book about their decades in missions. Upon returning to the United States, she obtained her bachelor’s degree at Indiana Wesleyan University and master’s degree at Ball State University.
Kirsten’s career has included teaching and proofreading with a background in middle school and adult education in English. She “speaks” Chicago Manual of Style, APA, and MLA and has worked in many different areas—nonfiction books, children’s books, fiction, guides, curriculum, and others.
Kirsten has worked as a freelance editor and proofreader for Thomas Nelson, Zondervan, and David C Cook. One book she worked on was featured on the Today Show. She considers proofreading for publishing companies a joy and enjoys her family, Bible study, hiking, and traveling.
