Renee Chavez is a freelance editor and writer with more than twenty years' experience. A graduate of the University of Memphis, Renee freelances for authors and publishing houses from coast to coast, covering many genres, including academic, biblical theology, business, history, fiction (children, teens, and adults), cookbooks, inspirational/motivational, devotionals, and more.
Renee performs all levels of editorial tasks, including content editing, copyediting, general proofreading, indexing (including academic), project management, ghostwriting, cover and flap copy, and everything between. She has also written numerous study and reading club guides, something she greatly enjoys. Renee has a deep knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style and is also familiar with Associated
Press style. Additionally, she is knowledgeable in biblical theology and music. A pastor's daughter, Renee has written several articles for PastorResources.com.
Renee is the mother of two grown sons. In her spare time, she and her husband of more than thirty years enjoy hiking, bicycling, and singing and teaching in their local church.
