Tisha Martin has a passion for encouraging authors and editors in which she seeks to bridge their relationships as they work together for the good of the publishing industry that offers readers books to be remembered for a lifetime.
She holds a bachelor’s in professional Writing, minor in education, and master’s in English Education. An active member of American Christian Fiction Writers, The Christian PEN, and founder of the critique group, Unraveling History, Tisha coaches beginning writers, and edits and proofreads for best-selling authors, ministries (Summit Ministries), and publishers, including Gilead Publishing, Redemption Press, and Elk Lake Publishing, Inc. She also participates as a contest judge for ACFW and Writer’s Digest Self-Published Awards.
Tisha is known for her versatile interests in listening to others, coaching, writing, ghostwriting, editing, project management, and flexibility with projects to meet clients’ needs. Since 2017, she has completed over 100 projects, which include technical and employee training materials for Fortune 100 and 500 companies, nonfiction, educational material, and fiction.
As the former Assistant Director of PENCON, the only Christian editors’ conference in the US, Tisha was responsible for seeing a 150% increase in attendee growth in 2018, compared to 2017.
When she’s not editing, Tisha blogs about writing, editing, horses, and American home front history at www.tishamartin.com. She enjoys finding humor in the everyday, training horses, ASL interpreting, collecting vintage hats, backstage theater, guest blogging, and speaking at writer’s conferences. She lives in the Midwest.
