Jillian Manning

Jillian Manning is a publishing professional with nearly a decade of experience as an editor. She has worked as an acquisitions editor with a division of HarperCollins and held production editor and project editor roles with Sourcebooks, Inc. Jillian has also been a long-time contributor to Independent Publisher magazine and has worked with book award groups such as the IPPY Awards and the Moonbeam Awards.
Jillian's specialty is middle grade (ages 8-12) and young adult (ages 13-18) product. In her time as an acquisitions editor, she worked on dozens of titles from bestselling authors, professional and Olympic athletes, and celebrities. Jillian is passionate about sharing great literature with young readers and fostering a lifelong appreciation of the written word.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, Jillian has completed coursework with the University of Denver Publishing Institute, the Yale University Publishing Course, and the University of Chicago Editing Program. Jillian is also the author of several top-selling picture books with Sesame Street, which have gone on to sell over 200,000 copies and have been featured at the White House Easter Egg Roll and Barnes & Noble's annual Valentine's Day story time.
Today, Jillian works in the PR industry sharing stories about her beloved home state of Michigan. In her spare time, she enjoys getting outdoors, spending time with family, and reading the many wonderful books that threaten to take over her house at any given moment.
