Lawrence W. Wilson

Collaborative Writer, Substantive and Theological Editor

Lawrence W. (Larry) Wilson is a talented writer and editor with an uncanny ability to match the author’s voice and tone while improving content. He specializes in collaborative writing, substantive editing, theological editing, and book doctoring.

Larry began writing when he composed a play for his fifth grade class, and he’s been writing for publication for nearly thirty years. The other half of his professional life includes two decades in pastoral ministry, which makes him an ideal partner on projects for the church market or those requiring theological or biblical expertise. He holds an M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and is a doctoral candidate at (D.Min.) at Anderson University.

For over seven years, Larry served as in-house editorial director at Wesleyan Publishing House, where he managed all aspects of content creation, including nonfiction books, Bible studies, commentaries, curriculum, and devotionals. He has authored three books on Christian spirituality and has ghosted or contributed to dozens more, including collaborations with high-profile Christian leaders. His writing has been featured by Focus on the Family, CBN.com, and Guideposts.com.

Larry has been a faculty member at dozens of professional writer conferences and has taught homiletics at the graduate level.

Editors praise Larry’s professionalism and timeliness. Authors appreciate his warmth, encouragement, and ability to refine their work.

He is happily married to best-selling author Heather Gemmen Wilson with whom he shares a blended family of six children and one grandchild. When not knee-deep in a writing project, he enjoys cycling on the country roads near his rural Indiana home.
