Marshall F. Davis, Ph.D., is passionate and experienced in providing authors/writers with a quality, polished product. Meeting and maintaining the author’s content, style, voice, needs, and desires, he partners with clients to offer a continuum of customized services including developmental editing, substantive editing, content editing, copyediting, line editing, proofreading, and book or proposal reviews.


Much of his experience and success has been in the academic editing arena, focusing on Christian theological books/projects, dissertations, and theses. His blend of technical expertise and personal encouragement with projects and deadlines is critical in his clients’ success.


Beyond his academic editing services, he has co-authored a book.


He is proficient with Chicago/Turabian and APA style guides and is a quick study in learning others.


Prior to venturing into editorial and writing services, Marshall enjoyed blended administrative and teaching roles in higher education with Columbia International University (CIU) and Spring Arbor University (SAU).


Marshall earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Bowling Green State University, his Th.M. in Systematic Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, his M.Ed. in Counseling from The University of Toledo, and his B.A. in Psychology & Religion from Hope College.


Marshall resides in Lexington, SC, with his wife, Susan. He treasures reading in all genres, visiting and hiking in America’s national parks, and watching a variety of sports.
