Mike Towle

Editor, Writer, Author, Publishing Consultant

In 25-plus years as a savvy communications professional with an engaging writing style and editing vigilance, Mike has worked as a reporter, columnist and editor for several newspapers; written dozens of magazine pieces; and edited an estimated 150 books for the likes of HarperCollins/Thomas Nelson and Rutledge Hill Press. Among the authors with whom he has worked are Louise Mandrell, Roger Clinton, Phyllis George, H. Jackson Brown, Jr., Jennifer O’Neill, Curt Sampson, and Lamar Alexander.

Mike also has authored or co-authored more than 20 books for publishers such as Rutledge Hill Press, Triumph Books, and WND Books, and with subjects that include Joe Biden, Pat Tillman, Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Pete Rose, and the captivating Olympic sport of skeleton. His proverbial trophy case includes six Tennessee Press Association awards for his columns and commentary.


For six years, Mike owned and operated his own reality show in the form of Towle House Publishing, which produced 30-plus titles and exceeded $1.6 million in gross revenues while gaining notice in the New York Times and Publishers Weekly. Since 2009, Towle as an independent contractor has operated Win-Win Words LLC, offering a variety of editorial, publishing, and corporate communications services (see www.winwinwords.net).


Mike’s publishing interests include sports, recreation, health and fitness, politics, Christian/inspiration, cookbooks, motivation, travel, entrepreneurism, and current events. A former Army officer, University of Notre Dame graduate, and avid Red Sox fan still basking in three World Series titles (and counting) since 2004, Mike enjoys jogging, movies, reading, golf, date nights with wife Holley and getting his entrepreneurial juices flowing watching Shark Tank. Mike, Holley and their college student/Eagle Scout son Andrew live near Nashville, Tennessee.
