Rachael Price
Writer, Editor
Rachael has worked as an editor for over a decade. For over five years, she worked as a medical editor for Celerion, a multinational contract research organization. Though she left Celerion in 2010 to pursue her PhD in American literature, she has continued to work as a freelancer for a wide variety of clients. Her diversity of experience has enabled her to transition seamlessly between multiple genres, from scientific/technical writing to academic monographs to celebrity memoirs and beyond.
Some of her favorite projects have included:
A Little Bit Vulnerable: On Hollywood, God, Sobriety, & Politics by Janine Turner
Display of Power: How FUBU Changed a World of Fashion, Branding, and Lifestyle by Daymond John and Daniel Paisner
The 25,000 Mile Love Story (Abridged Version) by Serge Roetheli
Right to DREAM: Immigration Reform and America’s Future by William A. Schwab and G. David Gearhart
Quantum Christianity: Believe Again by Aaron Davis
Redemption by Sally Fernandez Listen, Learn, Love! by Susie Miller
As an author with several published academic articles under her belt, Rachael understands the publishing process from both sides, and wants to make your publishing process as stress-free as possible. Having spent several years as an instructor of college-level composition and literature, she possesses particular skill in communicating her expertise in a friendly and easygoing manner. She understands that so much goes into a writing project, and it can be difficult and stressful to become too bogged down in the details of spelling, grammar, and wording. Rachael wants to worry about those details for you, and help you to focus on what’s most important: your message and your voice.
Rachael currently makes her home in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with her husband and her two-year-old daughter. Since having a baby, she has enjoyed being able to return to so many of the wonderful children’s books that were so important to her own youth. When she’s not working, she loves reading to her daughter and perfecting her pirate voice.
